The realities of the bar exam have led to the creation of The Study Group BarPoints™. We have been asked to "sum things up," and "give me the most important rules." We also want to provide students with a handy reference to learn what rules they should be able to write on their bar exams.

The writing of a rule should precede or be written as a part of your analysis of the facts on any exam. Many of the facts you encounter on an essay exam can be analyzed under one of the rules presented in this outline.

1. The BarPoints™ are not designed to replace study of specific state law with a complete bar review course if your jurisdiction tests specific state law.
